The Hiscock Legal Aid Society awards a plaque to the Syracuse office of Harris Beach, PLLC recognizing their 100% participation in the organization’s 2011 Membership Drive. (L-R): Richard Engel, HLAS Board Chair; David Capriotti, Managing Partner at Harris Beach; Lee Woodard, Managing Partner at Harris Beach; Virginia Hoveman, HLASBoard member; and Susan Horn, HLAS President and CEO.
Jim Muldoon, attorney at the Syracuse office of Harris Beach PLLC, was instrumental in soliciting 100% participation from his colleagues at the firm to contribute to the Hiscock Legal Aid Society’s 2011 Membership Drive. The overwhelmingly positive response from the Harris Beach professionals underscores their generosity and support of the Society’s mission to promote the fundamental right of every person to equal justice under the law.
On Thursday, February 2, Richard Engel, HLAS Board Chair presented a plaque in recognition of this milestone support to Harris Beach Syracuse office’s co-managing partners, David M. Capriotti and Lee E. Woodard. The presentation took place during an Open House and reception for the firm’s new location in the Washington Station building in downtown Syracuse.
The Washington Station project is being guided, rated and will be certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and Capriotti says of the move that, “relocating to one of the city's most prestigious locations confirms our commitment to downtown Syracuse and our interest in being an active part of this community."
Harris Beach is clearly demonstrating its commitment to playing an active leadership role in ensuring the sustainability of our resources, the vibrancy of our local business environment, and the empowerment of the ‘voiceless’ members of our community.
The Board, staff, and especially the clients of the Hiscock Legal Aid Society are most grateful for the contributions from the attorneys at Harris Beach.
