The Hiscock Legal Aid Society is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Onondaga County Bar Foundation for $5,000. As this grant meets the criteria for the John Ben Snow Challenge Grant recently awarded to the Society, it will be matched, dollar for dollar, thus doubling the amount and impact of the OCBF grant.

This grant is one of the most significant awarded by the Bar Foundation in recent years, and strongly demonstrates their commitment to further the purpose and efforts of Hiscock Legal Aid to offer quality legal assistance to individuals and families in need in our community.

About the Onondaga County Bar Foundation

The Onondaga County Bar Foundation is a charitable 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1973 to improve and promote: the administration of justice; service to the public and the legal community; equal access to the legal system for all; professional ethics and responsibility; legal research and education; and dissemination to the public of information about the legal system and the rule of law.  In addition to sponsoring Law Day, Attorneys’ Fifty Year Luncheon, and the Volunteer Lawyers Project programs, the OCBF also makes grants to programming within Onondaga County in accordance with its mission.
